The province of Bergamo offers endless routes and landscapes to people who love nature and want to spend entire days in the open air. A varied and stimulating landscape, from the hills to the Alpine foothills belt, from the lakes to the Alps; routes for all seasons, right both for trained walkers and families, and even for those who need a Sunday escape between nature and culture: mountain refuges, little isolated churches, ruins of a rural architecture, easy summits, natural reserves with some of the most interesting biotypes and geotypes protected by the Lombardy Region department.
Expansionistic target of many noteworthy dynasties because of its strategic position, the Bergamo area is rich in castles and fortifications. Some castles are huge and wide, in accordance with the “visconteo” module, such as the ones in Malpaga, Pandino and Romano di Lombardia; moreover, there are smaller fortresses built on hills to guard the valleys, such as the very suggestive one in Bianzano.
A rich land to discover, golf courses you can’t miss to play.
